Broken Girl - Poem by Zohra Ihsan

For every tear shed,
Is another heartbreak,
For every tragedy,
Is another fairytale gone wrong,
I've built my walls,
To stop from being saved,
Everything I put out there,
Every piece of myself i release,
You grab for yourself,
And throw it back in my face,
On the outside i portray a picture of perfection,
I fake a smile, i fake a laugh,
While in the inside you drive me to my own destruction,
My own demise,
Shaping me into the broken girl i was destined to be.
