Broken Heart Poem by Harlan Milleret

How does a heart break?
It sounds strange but, it actually happens.
I have a broken heart.
Its not because I physically broke it but, someone has 'emotionally' damaged it.
Not so severe that I can't recuperate but, the damage is done and can't be undone.
What does it feel like to have your heart broken?
It feels like someone has stomped on it with 'excessive force' until it is near extinction.
What is a person to do? Only time will tell,
