Broken Kids Poem by Marvo (Andy)

Broken Kids

It seems these days are getting shorter
and our nights are growing longer
We are lost in a world that we never asked for
And were never told about
We are all just a bunch of broken kids
Tired from the nights sadness and these terrors
Practicing pouting and posing on social media
At imaginary friends with imaginary lives
Sharing our secrets that we have no one else to tell
Popularity with just a click of the mouse
There are no limitations
This is our choice of living
Behold the 21st century schizoid clan
Methadone for the weakest of heart
And horses that we cannot ride
Dust down those Levi's and leathers
Cos rebellion never goes out of fashion
It just hides behind lies and conformity
Let us be. Please just let us be
I want my prize now ‘cos I'm two hours clean
We are not freaks
We are just trains that are leaving these tracks
And we are all just a bunch of broken kids
Nothing more and nothing less.
