Broken Love Poem by Jenny Williams

Broken Love

Silhouettes of dismal trees
Pierce the misty winter sky
Damp bark and earth speak for themselves
We wonder why does heaven cry?

The rain weeps softly to the earth
With heartfelt tears and frozen breath
It tells the tale of one who’s died
It speaks of one afraid of death

Sleeping soundly underneath
Dampened earth now soaked with blood
This thrashing rain that kills my heart
Is nothing more than broken love
