Broken Mirror‏ Poem by kevin wekesa

Broken Mirror‏

I miss her...i can actually taste her,
her presence is lacking...her attention-reducing,
i cant force it...i can only hope it, hope for her...
i look in it for a reflection...i notice its cracked,
i hope for her...coz i cant force her, i look deeper...i look harder-the mirror is broken...

Im walking with her...im talking alone,
i hold her hand, she holds my heart...
with her i hope to never part,
i walk with her...her hand is gone...
i talk to her, i hear no tone.
i look for a reflection, i notice theres nothing...
i look for an expression-but none is coming.
im serching in rotation...but the mirror, the mirror is broken.

i lay with her...theres no heat,
staring into her eyes, i notice the nothingness...
theres no pulse, no spark, theres no heart beat...
i notice the vastness.
i try to ask...but theres no answer, only what i see exists.
they say a picture is worth athousand words...
what i see is worth athousand more,
i look at the picture, i look harder...
its a broken image-in a broken mirror.

i give attention-i see no reflection...
i give love, none comes back,
i almost give perfection...
in turn i get frustration,
im giving up-im letting go...
its taken time-but now i know,
i will never get a reflection...from this broken mirror...
