Brother Bother Poem by jacqueline tozer

Brother Bother

Fireman up the ladder, please
give the hosepipe first a squeeze
I would like my brother Joe
To be wet through from top to toe.

And if he cries 'I want my Mummy'
remind him please it wasn't funny
To mess about with those matchsticks
and set alight to Dad's hay ricks.

Fireman was quick to note
That younger brothers are - to quote -
Rather a pain in every quarter
Next time the stork comes..
Mummy should request a daughter!
