Brother Country Poem by Dakota Churchill

Brother Country

I belong in Norway,
The wilderness of the woods
The snow falling silently to the Earth
The rain dripping through the branches
The trees slowly revealing the night sky in the wind

I belong in Norway,
The pretty city lights against the black sky
The nightlife noises rock me to sleep
The blue glow of the snow
The horizon shining softly

I belong in Norway,
The green of the fields in the Summer
The white glow of the snow in winter
The rocks at the shore
The tres drinking from the streams

I belong in Norway,
The smiles of my friends
The women's dresses as they swish down the street
The men with their food, dashing down the road
The Sámi with their reindeer

I belong in Norway,
The libraries with a lavish glow
The saunas warm and inviting
The creativity showing in every inch
The nature blooming in ever corner

I belong in Norway,
My brother country.
