Burning Poem by Devlyn Condren

Burning

As she burns oh that witch, I shall cry out.
Oh my I cry, the cruelty of the world burns into my eyes.
That hideous stench of burnt flesh.
My face burns with glee.
It is a beautiful sight, but terrible.
The fire spreads through the witches body.
Then the screams.
It all comes back.
The beauty of the flame, but the hideous smell.
It all comes back, lost in a moment of joy.

How does life cease so easily.
Why is the world so cruel.
Joy ceases to exist.
Sorrow overpowers peoples lives.
Life is an amalgamation of life and death.
Our lives rot away before our eyes.
We wither in our meaningless lives.
For if we acknowledge the clock of life and accept death.
Will we be free?
Kill or be killed is the mentality most people have.
But is it valid.
The flame of life is put out.
Life is…
