Burning Desires, Flaming Temptation Poem by Solomon Crane

Burning Desires, Flaming Temptation

Rating: 4.8

Burning desires
Flaming temptation
No longer kindled
No longer burning

Once my heart was full of anger
At what I wasnt sure
Now I see the light
Now I will continue the fight

Burning desires
Flaming temptation
No longer kindled
No longer hating

All at once I seen my plight
Didnt dare run from fright
To my former self I bid goodnight
While I enter into the light

An exercise of willpower and self control which triumphs over burning desires and flaming temptation well depicted in the poem. A lovely piece of poetry, well articulated and nicely penned. Thanks for sharing. Please read my poem MANDELA - THE IMMORTAL ICON.
