Burnt Poem by Evelyn Knight

Burnt

I have been singed
I have smelled the burning of flesh
I have seen my life torn apart and thrown in the pits of hell
I have broke black smoke billows out of my broken heart
I have been burnt
Flesh grows over the scorched wounds hiding the truth
