But For…(Transience) A Speck In The Eye Of Nature Poem by chize ryan ogunkah

But For…(Transience) A Speck In The Eye Of Nature

An avalanche of November blues
Attempt to Cascade the dreams of sons
In the bowel of mother nature's fluff
But for….

The beaming sun's desire
to smile closely on The ambivalence of mere mortals
To sudden clayey delight
But for…

The enchanting deep of old
Aspiring to overflow her embouchure (seashore)
Into the crevices of Adam's dominion
But for…

The heaven's rightful exuberance
To upturn her basin of water
Infinitely Into the bosom of man's desires
But for…

The spiralling tornado
Hastens to envelope striving hope
And sweeping mortal pride to zilch
But for…

Terra's Inferno
Making a quick move on the aspirations of creation
To usurp his prevailing puissance
But for…

The seething volcanic lava
Spreading into man's consciousness and comfort
Calcifying his persisting prospects
But for…

Fatal pervading plagues
Besetting the peace of humanity
To wipe out posterity
But for…

"…the mercies of the LORD
that man is not consumed,
because His compassions fail not". (Lamentations 3: 22)
