But I Don'T Know How. - Poem by Fiona Burgess

I want to show you how much I care.
I want to share my dreams.
I want to be brave enough to dare,
But I don't know how.
I want to breach these walls in my heart,
I want to open my eyes
I want to stop feeling so apart,
But I don't know how.
I want to feel the sun rise on my soul
I want to be free of my burdens
I want to feel whole.
But I don't know how.
I want to be who you want me to be
I want to stop feeling scared
I want to know how it feels to be free
But I don't know how.
I want to face the future with no regrets in the past
I want to take that first step forward
I want to know that this road will last.
But I don't know how.
