Butterflies Landing On Stars Poem by Debbie Polese

Butterflies Landing On Stars

Our universe's contain the same elements
We possess twin black holes.
I have loved you ten billion light years.
Sharp echoes of when we ran and laughed in my soul's groves.
What color were his eyes?
They were beyond forever blue.
Eyes of eternity.
Your words wander into me with a sweet recklessness, mouthful of stars.
A melody played of the deepest chords.
In every life you would know where my memories were stored.
And release them in my universe
Like butterflies landing on stars.
