C U Always Poem by empty shell

C U Always

does one bask in the pyramids as they commute
glance at the Eiffel tower while raking their leaves
feel the Alps as they're hanging their clothes
is lady liberty now lost in concrete
Vic falls just a tourist trap
Hoover dam in the way
the Outback, out back
Niagara, damp mist
appreciate it all
planes can fly
the sun is a star
the coliseum still stands
a full moon can light the sky
ants carry 50 times their weight
you
you appreciate it all
and I love that you do
because you know I do too
I appreciate you
the texture of your hair
they spots on your skin
the curve of your body
the flecks in your eyes
the tone of your voice
the touch of your hand
the beating of your heart
nothing is lost when we are together
