Café On The Square Poem by Casil Chapman Webb

Café On The Square

We will order two coffees
At the café on the square
And get lost in our findings
Of all the things that we share

Our conversation and perspective
Earthly enlightenment and desire
With intrigue and diversions
In deference, in trust, and to inspire

At the café on the square
Where being self, is the start
With a menu that's broad and open
It's a place of head and heart

We can look up to the stars
Ponder universe, and wonder why
Reflect and search our souls
We're equal, under the same sky

We will meet at the café
Two glasses, and a bottle of wine
Within our knowing, and our becoming
We've been sitting here, the whole time
