Caged Flyers Poem by Sheikh Nissar

Caged Flyers

Rating: 5.0

I can hear the breeze that pass by me
Bringing memo and songs of melancholy;
I can feel the scent of flowers
Who weep under the life giving showers;
I can hear the buzz of bees
And of streams chirping under canopy of trees.

I envy the silent bars of prison
That restrain me while sun has risen:
I envy my wings that can't fly
To make great sky circles in the high;
I envy every breath I take
And still hope I'll make.

Oh breeze without me, you can't go
To life's rebirth in dead by every flow,
O' Sun bless me the morning
That has no dark shadow nor evening,
O' You aching heart pain will fled
And life will infuse again into the dead.
