Calcutta Dump Yard Poem by Bijay Kant Dubey

Calcutta Dump Yard

ln the blackly dump yard heaps
While walking down
Something seemed to ruffle with,
Stopping by to say to
With grins and whispers
That lonesome evening walk
Telling me spooky tales
Of devastated souls and spirits
Befell with untoward incidences,
Untimely deaths, diseases and dooms,
Dead souls stammeing, skulls grinning,
Skeleton structures walking down
memory lanes.
Crows flying and perched upon
And the black soil, sterile sod of earth
Telling a different awkward tale
Of bizarre mesmerizing city life
So busy, fast and mechanical
Where there is no time to think.
