Calendar Poem by Tom Squires

Calendar

October rains somewhat quiet
The distant creaking trees
As leaves fall for the coming colder days
Reaching for my back pack
For a broken chocolate bar
Walking among boulders near a creek bed
While memory floods like some bright ghost
Down a stairwell into time
