Room With A View Poem by Tom Squires

Room With A View

Rating: 4.3

Chocolate brown buildings
Cast out shadows
On the bright day
The landscape of our healing
Some with great steeples
Stand sentinel in quiet witness
Others square and elegant
Fixed in simple
Complimentary permanent posture
Windows blinking harmonious approval
That no one ever sees
The morning traffic pulsing through
Each in their shiny rushing cocoon
Temporal with business precision
The sun shining through
Like the beholding of creation
A brand new city in the blink of an eye

I love the simplicity of this superb write and the powerful message of hope is everywhere even in the city with all it's glare, gritty and beauty can still be found! !

Hello Tom you paint a very clear picture so the reader feels as though they are seeing through your eyes
