Call Me Veronica Poem by Marjorie M. Smith

Call Me Veronica

Would that I were there that day
Along the Dolorosa Way...
To see Him as He chose the cross...
To weep at overwhelming loss...
To wipe the blood from His dear face...
To feel His strong redeeming Grace...
But centuries have passed since then...
I cannot say I served Him when...
But only "mirror" sacrifice
In following His Way of Life...
