Call Out My Name Poem by Rose Marie Cook

Call Out My Name

My heart cries out
My body retching in pain
My eyes bloodshot and sore
My words venom attacking your weaknesses

My will strong
My defiance hungry
My strenght faultering
My strike biting the tension

My smile plastered
My happiness faked
My stride fierce
While I crumble inside

My mind jumbled
My courage brief
My heart hurt
All hidden within

My life is catastrophic
My world unknown
My sights hidden
My mouth stapled shut

I'm thrashing around
Deep inside, looking for answers
To this messed up life

I'm ending it all
No more worries, no more pain
You can save my life if you listen, if you
Just call out my name
