Camp Fire Poem by Tessa Monaghan

Camp Fire

Here
around the fire
late at night
i sat
the crickets chirp
the fire cracks.
and all i can do
baby
is think of you
i didn't wanna leave
i didn't wanna go
i just wanna
be somewhere
with you
i don't care where
as long as i have you.

So i sit her
thinking of how
romantic this could be
if you
where here with me
you can
keep me warm
keep me occupied
keep me happy
everything would be
perfect.
Maybe i wouldn't feel sick
i wouldn't feel down

oh
how i wish
you were here
with me
while i sit
freezing tonight
i can only wish
only wish

i have
fallen for you
i have
fallen for you
but i still wonder
are you
just playing a game?
Are you
just looking for
something to do?
'cause baby
my feelings for you
are so real
know that
baby
don't let me wonder
don't let me doubt
are you the real deal?
are you
true?
