Can I?
Can I fall
Into the land of dreams,
Of make-believe,
And never wake up?
Can I crawl
Into my despair,
Follow the hare
Into his hole, corrupt?
Why can I go
Where no one's home,
The place I chose?
Alone again,
Without a friend,
I hear again
The call for end.
I want to leave
This land I'm in,
A world of sin,
And pretty lies.
A darkened eve,
I let it go,
Still no one knows,
I say goodbye.
