Can I Still Call You Mine? Poem by Edam Ouma

Can I Still Call You Mine?

When tensions are high,
Hearts are heavy,
Eyes are red
From anger and disappointment,
Throats dry
Of more words
To express yourself,
To explain how hurt you are,
How inconsiderate I was,
Insensitive,
A jerk,
Egocentric maniac,
Ungrateful,
And unreasonable,
Can I still call you mine?
