Can'T You See? Poem by Chelsea Lovelady

Can'T You See?

You ask if I am real
Then why do bad things happen?
Can’t you see?
Every tear you shed,
I shed two.
I know your pain;
I love you.
I died so you can live
Can’t you see me?
You reject me everyday
With your words and your actions.
I am still fighting for you to see,
But you push me way!
Can’t you see? !
I want to help you.
My hand out stretched.
I long for your sweet embrace.
I am slow to anger and abounding in love
I don’t care what you have done
Can’t you see? ! !
I saw you before you were born.
You are beautiful.
I want to see your face, hear your voice.
You are my lily among the thorns.
CAN’T YOU SEE? !
I choose you.
