Can you look right in my face
Without being in another space
Can you look me in the eyes
Without telling me more lies
Can you make me feel like it’s all right
Like I don’t always have to fight
Can you show me there’s still something to believe in
That it’s not senseless when I’m fading
Can you for once care about me
Or will my wishes always stay empty
Can I for once take your promises for true
Or will I keep on being disappointed in you?
