Can You See Me Poem by C.R. Ebowski

Can You See Me

I aimlessly wonder around
Like a shadow of the forgotten
Not knowing the difference
Between tomorrow and yesterday

Observing other’s lives
As they dances around me
Replicating movements
Forcing myself to connect

Imitating an anonymous facade
Learning how to safely survive
Relying on the absence of sound
To guide my through this maze

I will ride the waves of secrecy
Acknowledging the boiling hatred
Of a lost world that shouldn’t be
Nevertheless, they can’t see the real me
