Candle Light Poem by Peter Lungile Chidothe

Candle Light

Sitting here in the murky room
My vision is gone
I only see crystal like figures
Standing or moving up and down

I admire the good old ole days
When I was twenty, young and strong
The way I spinned around
With my love on the dance floor

I wish I could see a candle light
My memories of valentine
Roses and kisses all day round
Now roses gone, kisses gone, vision gone

The sweet lovely words are out of my mouth
Today I mumble them again trying to please my
love
I guess she hardly hears
All I get from her are nebulous answers

Love give me the days
Tell me the roses are still fresh
The candle has mantained its flame
The kisses are still coming

Oh how I wish it was Valentine already!
