Cant Stand Poem by John Zeller

Cant Stand

can't stand the sun
when it's shining through in pain
can't stand the moon
when it's falling with the rain
can't stand myself
when I need to be alone
can't stand standing
with no place to call my home
can't stand thinking
when trying to fall asleep
can't stand writing
words that make you weep
can't stand singing
when my head is not in tune
can't stand laughing
when happiness has no room
can't stand not knowing
what dreams the catcher caught
can't stand knowing
whose souls the devil bought
can't stand praying
to dogs without a heart
can't stand the preacher
preaching atop the undertakers cart
can't stand love
that makes plastic flowers grow
can't stand desire
when someone steals the show
can't stand this poem
i thought you ought to know
that I can't stand myself
it's time for me to go
