Captain Of My Captivity Poem by Joe Pohner

Captain Of My Captivity

Everyday is such an obstacle.
The mountain is so high, the fall seems so long.
I wish I could deliver back the old me.
Reset me free.
So stupid of me.
Trading away my freedom with captivity.
No other words need be speak.
Captain of Captivity.

The reason why my life isn't working out so graciously?
The reason it doesn't work out like it does in my dreams?
Captain of Captivity.
I know the only reason I'm going down.
Is a true captain never abandons his ship, he takes up the ship
Gets a good grip, setting sail downwards to hell.

Please set me free, please back the old me.
Freedom in captivity.
Captain of my ship, my ship that is sinking.
Lighting fills the sky with a glorious pattern.
As my world is crushed beneath the strength of the Kraken

Land Ho! Hell is waiting for you! Since you've gone and set sea.
As the captain of captivity.
