Captivating Joy, Haikus Poem by Mark. A Heathcote

Captivating Joy, Haikus

captivating joy

dancing on the rooftops

when the sun appears

*

somewhere someplace

I'll recognise her face

chance meeting

*

somewhere someplace

I'll recognise your face

kismet meeting

*

kismet hope

I'll recognise her face

somewhere someplace

*

today she waves

I catch her face smiling from

an upstairs window

*

tonight beneath

a full moon headed somewhere

my heart is hers

*

I feel I've known her

somewhere a lifetime before

all the stars align

*

joyous moments when-

somewhere in a forest floats

a bluebird's feather

*

somewhere

in the sash window frame

ladybirds awaken

*

let me pick fruit

from the Waqwaq Tree

and crush enemies

*

blossoming

a pincushion festoon

Japanese apricot

*

approaching spring

and all the plum trees flower

pure endurance

*

a lowly shepherd

before his work stands gazing

white camellias

*

infant growth spurts

from snowdrops to daffodils

snails in the rafters

*

infant growth spurts

from snowdrops to daffodils

sunflower horizons

*
the more I'm warmed

the more I melt and dissolve

icy exteriors

*

you write like a sage

weaving nests in the ivy

with moss, leaves and twigs

*

little male wren

making multiple nests, but

no feminine touches

*

female wren

gathering wool and feathers

here's a worthy home
