Captive Poem by Paul Reed

Captive

My spirit would be free
If not caught up in life's snares
I would be the happiest man in the world
If I didn't have any cares;

But all good things are kept from me
By woes and worries and fear
I would be so happy if I could get there
But I am captive here.
