Dear Rajnish Manga, thanks for showing the decency to reply. Perhaps, we the people who don't own a car or no so much into car-loving will never understand passion of a poem like this. With best wishes.
Thanks for your kind words. I would like to add that we belong to a middle class bracket. Until I was 40, I did not have even a bicycle. Then I purchased a scooter. At about 47, I had my first car- A second-hand Maruti 800. At 50, I purchased a new car. But my fascination for high end cars, aeroplanes, luxury apartments and overseas holidays is still there. We cannot own everything but can enjoy them in a vicarious way.
Rajnish Manga, will you kindly explain a little bit why the poem is fantastic? Good luck.
Dear Alam, thanks for your query. Though, I am not bound to give an explanation for my comments, especially when it has not come from the poet, still I will tell you. The poet has focused on a topic- very mundane one- and given it a lovely treatment while taking up its plus points one by one.
I have always had a car for the last twenty years but could not write even a single word about it though, driving has remained one of my passions. In this backdrop, I appreciate the poet for coming up with such a fantastic poem which will entertain one and all alike- irrespective of the age of the reader.
Fantastic modi
