Carnivore Conundrum Poem by Shane Markie

Carnivore Conundrum

you bite down, hard
breaking my bones as
marrow and blood seep
down your chin &

into your chest hair
ligaments and tendons torn
heart's pain seemingly unbearable
until we talk again
