Carried Away Poem by Shirley Harrison

Carried Away

I've carried my own laughter

and my deepest darkest pain

I've danced under the moon

and I've danced under the rain

I've walked the path I've chosen

and some that have chosen me

I've grieved under the palm trees

for a love now lost at sea

I've raised the bar of adventure...

I've carried myself for me.
