Carrying Poem by Reba Baker

Carrying

I'm walking on a broken road
Stop beneath a tree
I see a lovely sparrow
Sitting, watching me
I get up and walk off
Carrying them with me
I'm walking on a worn out path
Stop beside a pond
A fish is starring up at me
He tosses up his worries
And swims away in glee
The worries land upon my back
I carry them with me
I walk onlong life's pathways
Meet with people like me
They dump on me their problems
I carry them with me
