Casual Glance Poem by ashok jadhav

Casual Glance

A casual glance may pass without a pause,
A fleeting look that brushes past the soul;
It skims the surface, notes the seen because,
Yet misses depths it never meant to know.
Such glances read the face, not what it bears,
The practiced smile, the posture worn with ease;
They pass untroubled by unspoken cares,
Unaware of the storms beneath the seas.
Yet sometimes in that glance, so brief, so light,
A crack appears where hidden truths are shown;
For eyes may meet and recognize a sight
That echoes something long and deeply known.
Thus even glances, careless though they seem,
Can touch the heart and wake a quiet dream.
