the collaboration of 2 poets, produced the finished 'maekuzkuke': '' Catching the thief And looking at him - It was my own son! I want to kill him, And I don't want to kill him. '' The 'front verse' (1st stanza) , of 5-7-5 syllables, of a maekuzuke, was then known as 'senryu'.
