Catholic Man Poem by Poetical Analysis

Catholic Man

Can a poem raise the dead
Awaken ancient visions in a civilized head
Can a man who had renounced the sacred role of Father
Offering to demons his very own sons & daughters
Smell the blood in the air, & the corpses decaying
See the lost threads of the legacy tearing & fraying
Can a catholic man reclaim what he never had, it was stolen so long ago
Can he ally with the dirt against their most formetible foe
Can he hear in the prayers the desperate hate & heinous plan
To twist a true father into a pathetic catholic man
Who hates his wife & daughter like priest touch boys
Use empty rituals to muffle the sorrowful noise
His family is being eaten to be spit in the fire to burn
Can a poem kill the catholic man & have our people justly return
Or are we doomed to be dogs thrown the scraps of the spoils
That are the precious fruit of our ancestors' & our very own toils
Is there any power that can break us outta this trance
If not, our children's children will have that much less of a chance
