As we walk down by the riverside
Talking about life and why we lied
Talking so much we start to cry
The rain starts to fall

And as those tears from heaven fall
Everything seems to get so much worse
All the hurt and the pain on the earth
Is harder to bear in the rain

And how many times have we been here
Soaked to the skin
Always living in sin
This time feels like the last time

We will walk down by the riverside
Talking about life and why we lied
Talking so much about why it died
And the rain continues to fall
