Celebrate The Time - Poem by Michael Pruchnicki

The sun sank in the west
as the smoke drifted across
the ochre fields of grain

A stillness in the air
muted the murmurs
and we settled back
this last day together

No more the eager cries
and bold dashes
through the shrubs
along the shore
