Certain Of Poem by Jarian Drinkwater

Certain Of

For Amy's Granbaby

Although we didn't meet at college Like Em and Dex,
It doesn't make our connection any less complex.
Your kiss had the gravitational pull of the earths star!
Your smile, undeniably shines so bright, near, here or far.

A beacon of light, my compass, my north, the many crossings of the Mersey
From here to New York

A friendship I'd never had but with tears of gratitude
I choose this situations conundrum with a positive attitude.
You've awoken me from a slumber you see.
For my callous ignorance has pulled you away from me.

Asking too much of you whilst in a transitional phase
Has only left me wondering, what if 'one day'

Whilst I up my game to match your energy
Yet again we match with breathtaking synergy

Stars align and fates shall meet
The laughs, the giggles, the adventures on repeat.

Covid, breaks, bereavements as such
Supporters of one another which others found too tough.

A bond sent from the from heaven can only be true

If there's anything I'm certain of,
I Love You
