In chains, in chains
Shackled
Behind bars
Broken, torn, destroyed
Change in outside world
We’re blamed, beaten
The bloodstains are our own
Yet still we’re beaten
It’s not our fault, but it is
The fires burnt us, water drowned us
But they say we lit the fire
That we set loose the water
Monsters claw at us
But they call us monsters
And burden us, blame us
We are not the blame, but are blamed
In chains, in chains
Shackled
Behind bars
Though free, never free
Broken, torn, destroyed
