Four years went by
consumed by my weeps,
pondering over my lovesick self;
my chair wept with me
believing it was lovesick as I was.
At times the weeper left
the chair pulled and dragged
in search of the weeper.
Dwelling on the faded paths,
it threaded its four legs
and shrank on the thirst for love.
On the nights that drank off lights
our legs locked in for hugs
when our eyes kept weeping,
we shared arms and shoulders of warmth
still in hope of love.
The chair accused me
for bringing it home;
away from the only love it had,
I leans and cries to let him know
that I was oblivious
of its past love.
The chair now with its shoulders
takes my hanging head by the neck,
points a finger afar and says
"There comes your love"
mocking my desperation.
