Chalalapay - Poem by Ron Gregus

Chalalapay the choo choo toy
chugging on the rug
challenging chairs
by charging their legs
as chubby little fingers push it along
Now with my fingers thin and strong
hugging on that toy
memories tug
a tear from my eyes
that splashes on my mighty Chalalapay
