Challenged Poem by Chelsea Blick

Challenged

Well would you take a gander at this!
We have a challenger, a believer
Someone who thinks he’s got it
Someone who thinks he knows
The secret to finding her keys
A tall, dark and handsome man
Who is unaware of what rests for him
I pity this fool who walks with
His nose stuck up in the thick air,
Cause she’s going to come around
Accidentally knocking him down
He don’t stand a chance against
Her and those walls that stand tall
You’ll never know her well enough
You wont be able to predict her actions
Never will you live to see her weakness
You cant make this little chicken fly
Cant make the fallen fall in love
Well I’ve warned him, and there he goes
You cant have something like her
She’s too damn rooted to see the clouds
No one will find the keys to the heart
Even though it is what she asks for
She oblivious to what she is wanting
She is burning on the outside with beauty,
But frozen to the core deep down inside
He will fall and she’ll come tumbling along
For the guilt and loneliness will sink in again
