Chance
How it was so hard to blindly take a chance
I figured it was a shot in thee dark with the devil, one last dance
For that dance was vein and long
I already knew the outcome by the end of the song
Before I knew it that chance I took changed my life
Who would've thought it was today, after all my strife
I struggled to let that chance go, it was slim at that I can admit
The chance that the candle in my heart will one day stay lit
after taking this many chances and not getting what I want
I don't want to take anymore, I'm going to be blunt.
One more, I figured I'd give it a go
The probability was anything, you never know
How many different chances can you take
Before your hopes cause troubled dreams, and that's all they make.
You think nothing positive comes out of life
That's because you've only seen the dark and not the light.
You have a family to come, people to meet
When you're living life to fullest you never skip a beat.
Aim high, but shoot low before your high hopes take the final blow.
The only scary thing is life goes fast, not slow
Before you know it that first chance that you took
Is the one that fueled you, to where you are, just look.
For you gloomy attitudes may just end it all
Just remember when taking chances, don't stay inside the walls.
