You finally take a chance
On the guy you love
Just to be heartbroken
You cry every night
'Cause you try your hardest
To make your love work
But it never turns out right
You give your heart to him
Just to have it torn in two
You give your heart
But he doesn't care for you
You try and try
To please the guy
But he only makes you cry
So why do you hold on
To a love that doesn't exist
Just get up and walk away
So you don't have to pay the price
