Chances Poem by Daniele Cerasoli

Chances

They shape us,
And they are who we are.

Sometimes we waste them;
Sometimes we take them.
They're all that we make them,
And they're waiting to be taken.
We can get many
Or barely any,
And they provide us with an opportunity
To learn from our mistakes.
They are more than just expectations and
Possibilities,
And they will be
All that we hope them to be.
They can be great
Or they can be typical.
They never say never,
And they can change our lives.
The people who take them
Will be the lucky ones
Who go all the way.

Everyone gets chances,
But it's what we do with them
That defines who we are
And how far we go.
