Change can hit at any time
and it can make you hurt
take the person you once knew
and bury them in the dirt

Change is the one who takes the child
and rips away her soul
can make her forget who she's supposed to be
make life boring and droll

Change can take time from the ones you love
and make it hard for you to breathe
it can leave you with scars to carry
and acid rain to make it seethe

Change is a monster and an angel
the one you can't ignore
if you try he'll poke then beat you
even when your bleeding on the floor

Change is incurable
a virus that can spread
if you think you can escape it or dominate it
then you might as well be dead
